SuperCarDirect.com Deal with eBizAutos Makes It Largest Free Car Classified Portal

Published July 6th, 2008

SAN FRANCISCO - SuperCarDirect.com announced that it will receive an additional 200,000 daily automotive listings through an alliance with eBizAutos that it said would catapult SuperCarDirect.com past craigslist as the nation’s largest free car classified website.

“This alliance, which follows a similar 200,000-a-day vehicle agreement we recently announced with Dealix Corp., makes SuperCarDirect.com the industry leader in free car classifieds,” said company founder John Sweeney.

“We are now offering the biggest and broadest selection of used cars and trucks in the country, with all listings free. These alliances mean that the inventories of car dealers who use eBizAutos and Dealix are automatically added to SuperCarDirect.com every night. Combined with our large volume of private party ads, that gives SuperCarDirect.com more than 600,000 listings every day, so visitors to our site have an enormous inventory to choose from.”

SuperCarDirect.com is leading the car classified industry with easy iPhone access, Google maps and simple to use free car classifieds. Sellers can list any car or truck at any price for 60 days with 20 photos, with all listings free and renewable.

SuperCarDirect.com, which decided early on to brand the site with a single advertiser rather than clutter it up with dozens of ads, is now talking with companies interested in reaching its huge volume of visitors.

“We have established ourselves as the industry leader and are now moving to the next step in our game plan, which is finding the right company to become the site’s exclusive sponsor,” Sweeney said. “SuperCarDirect.com is ready to go from cult favorite to mainstream status and we are looking for the visionary corporate giant who will leverage our constantly growing traffic to promote their company and brand.”

Connecting with Online Renters

Published June 13th, 2008

”This generation values time,” says Tony Drost, president and property manager of First Rate Property Management in Boise, Idaho. “They need as much time as possible to do the things they really enjoy doing. Because of this, they rely heavily on the Internet to make their purchases easy and efficient. Rentals are no different.”

It’s for that reason-as well as many more-that Drost takes his rental business to Rentals.com, an online destination for rental real estate searching and listing. Drost believes wholeheartedly in the Rentals.com business. In fact, he’s been with Rentals.com since the beginning of his career. “I was a RentalHouses.com user and when Rentals.com started the family of sites, we jumped on,” explains Drost.

With the wealth of technology that consumers have readily available to them today, it’s no wonder that the Internet has become the go-to place for renters and buyers alike. With the help of Rentals.com, Drost has the ability to showcase the 100+ rental units he owns/co-owns to millions of qualified renters in a timely manner through the means in which they wish to be reached-the Web.

Whether for sale or for rent, the real estate industry has seen an ever-increasing transition from print to the Web for promoting rental houses. Not only is print-classified advertising expensive, it also creates unnecessary inquiries.

“Most classified ads run without photos and don’t include a lot of information as they are usually only three to four lines long. Traditional print ads urge people to call simply to get more information,” says Drost. “These phone calls tie up our agents with unqualified leads instead of allowing them to go after leads that are more lucrative.”

Using Rentals.com however, allows Drost to be able to reach out to those who are interested in what his properties have to offer.

“The ads that we place on Rentals.com have numerous interior and exterior photos, as well as virtual tours. We describe the property in the body of the ad so that perspective tenants can easily rule out the properties that don’t match their needs,” he says. “When we do get an inquiry, the caller already knows everything about the property, and generally the call is to schedule an appointment to see the property or to sign a lease.”

The shift from print advertising to Rentals.com has given Drost the opportunity to tailor his marketing more toward online consumers. Rentals.com’s auto-feed function, search engine placement and virtual tours allow Drost to give prospective renters the information they want-when they want it.

“Our website is our portal,” Drost explains. “We have an auto-feed from our website, so once we activate a listing, it automatically posts to Rentals.com. With the click of a button, someone can see a virtual tour, apply, pay and look at demographics and statistics without leaving their home. This is a huge time-saver-not only for us, but for our prospective customers as well. We have even been able to incorporate an online application and online payment feature for added convenience.”

New Online Video Classifieds and Employment Site

Published June 3rd, 2008

ChosenList.com, the first safe video online resource for classifieds, jobs, careers and community, has launched the ChosenList.com Certified-Videographer Network (C-VN) as a way for entrepreneurs to build an entirely new business or just earn extra income by creating 30-60 second videos to post online.

Videos are often used for fun and sharing ideas on sites such as YouTube. ChosenList.com takes user generated video content and monetizes it with its business-in-a-box Certified-Videographer Network. To spur community job growth and positively impact the economy, ChosenList.com established the C-VN to motivate people to offer video production services for those that don’t have the time or resources to do it themselves. C-VN members and all users of ChosenList.com can post online video classified ads for free and video-job ads are only $95 a month.

“We are setting out to empower 14,000 ‘Chosen-preneurs’ by turning a minimal video camera investment into a profitable business by creating video job ads for small businesses, shooting video resumes, and producing ads for our video classifieds,” said Cary Peters, president & COO of ChosenList.com. “There is a tremendous opportunity for people to go out into the community and charge $20 to $50 to create quality, clean content videos for sellers of all types of goods like cars, houses, boats and motorcycles, or produce a video ad for a local business that has a help wanted sign in the window.”

The C-VN has an actual certification and training program that assists entrepreneurs in using best practices for creating compelling videos and marketing tips for online video production services. Every member of the C-VN can set their own pricing as independent contractors and business owners. C-VN members are encouraged to post an online classified at ChosenList.com for free to collect leads and advertise their service offerings.

There is no charge to become a member of C-VN. Anyone over the age of 14 can apply for certification. All videos posted must comply with the clean content standards, be safe for all ages and brand-safe for all products and services. The only required investment to become a C-VN member would be a digital video camera, which can be purchased at most electronic stores for less than $100. The process to create a video and upload it online to ChosenList.com takes minutes without any editing or special equipment required. More information is available at the C-VN tab at ChosenList.com.

Liquidus Introduces New Product Extensions To VoD Offerings in Video-Based Classified Advertising

Published May 23rd, 2008

CHICAGO - Liquidus, a pioneer of video-based classified advertising, today announced the official launch of new products based on its revolutionary video-based classified advertising technology platform for VOD. The company has been flying under the radar since 2005, when it began working with Comcast Spotlight to help forge this advertising niche in the video-on-demand (VOD) side of the business.

Now Liquidus is in the process of providing Interactive TV advertising services to multiple cable companies and is extending its video production platform to serve other media as well. Its online video product extension (VideoLink) is available to Internet advertisers in the online side of the business. And, its Linear ShowBuilder product is available for the production of inexpensive long-format advertising shows that run on analog and digital TV linear channels. In short, video produced for one media (like VOD) can be re-used across the Internet and in long-format linear video programs as well…administered through a central online administrative interface called “SpotSense.”

“If a dealer is going to thrive in the years ahead, they absolutely must give consumers what they want – on-demand, robust vehicle inventory information,” commented HomeNet’s Director of Sales, Tim James. “On demand video is a powerful, yet inexpensive marketing tool and dealers are just beginning to realize the potential impact it can have on their bottom line. HomeNet is pleased to work with Liquidus in an effort to equip more than 12,000 Inventory Online (IOL) dealers throughout North America with the ability to create high-quality video advertisements on a large scale, for distribution to their online marketing channels and in the future, to extend that reach into additional On demand spaces.”

The Liquidus technology platform revolutionizes video-based advertising, allowing advertisers to create and distribute locally-tailored video ads quickly, easily and cost-effectively on digital cable VOD, the Internet and standard TV. Advertisers can leverage existing creative assets such as digital photos to assemble and distribute video ads via a user-friendly web interface. And unlike any other player in this space, Liquidus can create and distribute video ads on a mass scale. Liquidus is producing tens of thousands of videos per week, which is expected to grow to 150,000 videos per week by the end of this year and will still not be close to capacity. In the near future, these capabilities will also expand to other media channels, including mobile devices.

“Today advertisers realize the power of video, and they want an easy, inexpensive way to produce it for all their products and be able to place, distribute and localize it in more than just one media,” said Todd Holmes, CEO and co-founder of Liquidus. “Customers can now advertise on TV and the Internet 24/7, place ads locally or nationally, create long-format video programs and modify content quickly so the video is always fresh. It’s all available through the Liquidus SpotSense web interface.”

Liquidus’ product offering includes the following:

* VOD Ads Created through SpotSense

SpotSense is Liquidus’ online interface that allows advertisers to create and modify VOD ads on a weekly basis, a significant turnaround advantage over competitors. VOD ads remain live 24/7. Users can select products with their remote (like autos or real estate) and the local markets where the products are available and shop from the comfort of their couch.

* Linear TV programs Created through SpotSense

A tool within the SpotSense web interface, called “Linear Showbuilder” significantly reduces the production costs of creating long-format advertising videos to run on TV linear channels. An advertiser can create an entire Sunday morning real estate show (for instance) with this easy-to-use web tool.

* Online Video Ads (VideoLink) through SpotSense

VideoLink is Liquidus’ online offering that allows advertisers to create, distribute and modify existing ads in real-time, regardless of incidence or location. As a result, when VideoLink ads are updated they will automatically update in every location, ensuring the most current ads are being shown across the Internet. Similar to VoD ads, VideoLink ads remain live 24/7.

“For a lower price than black-and-white print classified ads, Liquidus can produce and place high-quality ads utilizing the sensory power of video on TV and the Web,” said Kirk Davis, co-founder and EVP of Liquidus. “Advertisers get the most out of the videos they’re creating through our SpotSense interface because they can create and display them in a variety of formats and media–on TV, online, and soon on mobile devices.”

About Liquidus

Liquidus’ goal is to work with cable operators to revolutionize video-based advertising by allowing advertisers to create and distribute video classified ads quickly, easily and cost-effectively on digital cable video-on-demand (VoD), the Internet and standard TV. Liquidus allows its customers to place ads locally or nationally on a mass scale, and modify ads quickly so the content is always fresh. The Liquidus platform has been deployed or is being trialed by most of the major cable operators (MSOs) in the U.S. including the market leader Comcast. Chicago-based Liquidus is privately held and funded. For more information on Liquidus, please visit www.liquidusmedia.com.
